First, a recap of which Hawaiian monkeys are competing, all of them in the Sprint event. Oahu: me and JD. Maui: Marty, Dexter, Rick, Paul, Abhay, and Chuck. Big Island: Frosty and Eric. Kauai: Rayna.
It was a tough day for many pilots today. Lots of flush cycles around launch for the first hour took their toll on us. JD landed at the bombout LZ, and I pressed out to the vineyard. Paul, Abhay and Rayna suffered a similar fate. Not sure about Chuck or Eric. Right after that, the valley started to lift off and those who were still up (or launched later) got high enough to start flying the task. CJ was the first woman in goal, Frosty made his first goal, and came in 3rd for the day! Dexter, Rick and Marty made goal as well. Awesome job you guys! That's at least four in goal from Hawaii. Next time take the rest of us monkeys with you!

Will Gadd once told some of us sitting in the primary bomb out that sometime you are a rockstar and sometime your are just a rock.
ReplyDeleteOne thing for sure every one eventually ends up back on the ground.
Have a great comp
Thanks for taking the time to write these short posts up. I think there's a problem with your link to the Sprint results to the right though - believe it should point to : http://www.flyxc.org/2012RatSprint.html
